A little chop chop, spices and veggies and volia!
The meat I so loved a kid (and my mom probably told me it was chicken) or was it bugs bunny I loved?
I needed a starting place. called my mother....no answer....I google it french recipes...hasenpfeffer...german rabbit, stuffat tal fenek...maltese rabbit...rabbit pie...nope....lapin a la coccotte (bacon and redwine sauce) but not GF...getting closer....why cannot find mom's recipes on the internet....cocotte-printaniere-de-lapin....it was not spring but rabbit stew with veggies and wine sound about right...back to I have no clue.
Ok if your a vegetarian stop here. Do not read any more. Watch this video link and be happy.
Awww...
Ok, now back to boiling bunnies.
"Oh Mr. Rabbit...
What the king wants little ol me for dinner? I could not possibly go, I not prepared
oh don't worry I will prepare you, just get into this pot here" Shish Ka Bugs.
I actually had a hard time de-jointing it, chopping it up. I don't remember this part when I was a kid...I asked BF to do it for me, but he was busy....grab the knife...deep breath chop chop in the pot.
I love rabbit meat, but love rabbit animal, a paradox.
....added a few spices (juniper berries good with wild meat)
AND guess what?....... it was yummy!
