Hey ladies let me help you..put some sand in your bags...(Opus 8 Hour: 4th place tag team))

Sessioned that climb all day long...tired?

Always love riding my bike in new unknown forest, someone was screaming like a girl on our Sunday ride in Copeland Forest (1 lady and 5 boys) and it was not me....they did not try to push me into the swamp puddle...way to take one for the team Scott. And then we all got sunburns on the deck after the ride....Really great riding, slippery, muddy and fun!

........JS to CS..."we are just leading you deeper and deeper into the forest"
SI to CS:  "this is my friend, he is a perv and lives in his car--stay away from him".

It was one of the best 8 hour races! Nice race course in Mansfield good mix of climbs, downhill, smooth corners. Sessioned that climb/root all day long!  Girl taking photos telling everyone to get out of the way..she been climbing it all day!  Determined to bunny hop the log and I did on the second last lap without my back tire hitting. Took a crappy line (looks like I was not the only one)...kept telling myself not to do it again and then did it again 7 times. Seemed to bleed out slowly over the day. Had a big crash...my headsetwas loose and my bars were twisted (I am not very handy with the tools).I will admit my first bitter sweet race and little disappointed I was to work hard all day and come 4th--(except the first place team--she is pretty fast). I think they did about 3 laps and let male rider do all the rest. We were actually in 5th, but looks like they burned out the male rider toward the end.  I don't think this is good depth or race strategy. At least I can say I we did equal work, and nothing like keeping up to a race partner who 10yrs younger than you! Great race partner --(Speed meets endurance).
