Ain't like you to hold back and...

Yah Beastie Boys (my fav for sooo long), new cds today (yes, I still actually buy cds-I like the design work)..
Beastie Boys Hot Sauce Committee Part Two.  Always live up to my expectations.  Also, heard live song by Adele, she has a pretty Diva voice without the plastic...

My friend Sophia (Team Tree Huggers) racing in the APEX Alpine expedition  race in Switzerland over the next few days....so excited for her.  We raced together in 2010--She runs through the forest like a deer---trust me.

Super Navigation to First Place
Send them best wishes from the website link here: (http://www.theapexrace.com/Live/default.aspx).

Off to races in forest unknown, 15 hours of driving....Ontario Cup MTB #2 Uxbridge.  Had  great Smart Athlete Training (http://www.smartathlete.ca/) Session with Peter Glassford .....and other (fast) ladies who also share the love for mtb.

Good enough for unfocused 4th place.  I was snug like a bug warm (except in the starting pen, all the ladies were standing there complaining it was cold...perspective..I have been MUCH colder and waaay worse weather). Yah riding in the mud, wind, rain that is my favorite.....people going slow in the slippery singletrack on singlespeeds...not my favorite.

No race photos, but will put this one is pretty rad.....make you happy.

My mom was wondering what the concept of mov nat.  I am pretty sure this concept has been around for awhile.  The overall concept I think is a good one. However, the concept is not overly practical in all situations, and barefoot running concept does not really take into account dirt or ice/snowy roads and I am not sure if this concept can be applied to elder bodies? maybe..maybe not.  Anyways, I had a proper mov nat session in Killarney Park on the Silver Peaks Trail.  The trails times require you use both hands and feet to get along.

I did stardel something that snorted and sounded hoved walking on rocks (moose?).  Also saw the most pretty big blue bird flying across the lake--Blue Heron.  Killarney...a REAL provincal park (by comparison to where I stayed in souther ontario) with sun and nature.  Had chance to dry my tent out and back my car over my tent poles... Had excellent night sleep! Full moon and little chilly, awoke to howling coyotes below me on the beach....totally freaked out! Which is surprising as I have had a bear slobber on my tent before and a baby moose trip over the tent lines and almost crush me.  So got up and looked at them and then slept in my car next to my bike.

Only 44 days to day 0 of the BC Bike Race!  I have not been counting, it was in the BCBR newsletter.
