Something in the way she moves...

So a week of endless biking and endless rain on the North Shore.

High heel--do you see it?

Darren Butler from Endless Biking has more bike tips and skills than the book of kama sutra.
He is a talented and skilled coach (see him riding bobsled below). Mostly rain and warmish weather during my 6 days of riding, three of those days spent with Darren. After bike fit, then riding up to snow back down to sea level and up again, on and off logs/rocks she was a North Shore Bike Ninja. Tested the limits/angles of my new Trek EX 9.8, nothing like taking your xc bike down a jumping trail (giggles). Will have to do more of that soon. Passed by trail builder guy on Bridle Path a few days in a row connecting xc loops.  This guy builds awesome trails for awesome people Good progress in skill development (breaking control, being dynamic on the bike, roll down lunges, lifting front wheel over large objects/getting up and over many obstacles on a technical climbs, riding narrow bridges and A frames and the zap tap which I cannot do but will work on this free ride move). Good Ninjas will share secrets in exchange for meaningful objects. Inquire for details. Ok maybe a few tips to share..

Once you have good breaking control and being dynamic on your bike...it is your weapon (useful slaying zombies and cougars). Cannot believe how stoked I get riding my  bike in such crap conditions. Nice not to see snow for a few days and the sun when it came out was nice...really nice. Did not take many pictures as the technology needed to be kept dry, and my camera now has foggy patches.

This is awesome trail I rode with Darren. Goal not to do any pedaling, all pumping and terrain awareness/line selection. "Someone should just put a hotdog stand at the top of this....Uh huh" http://www.endlessbiking.com/2010/12/ride-bobsled-trail-with-darren-butler-contour-hd.html

Also good times with Lisa and Ed and Mathew. Never a dull moment around this house...little people have good vibes.

Mathew-sarus (meaning): a friendly pleasant 8 month babbling little person, caveman like with one front fang. He was cutting a second one..little interrupted sleep for everyone. That is a chicken bone..and sushi. Found these glasses on my commute home one day.

So cute, now back to bikes..

Went riding with a few random playmates. Duhane and Cathy. Duhane worked previously as design engineer for Rocky Mountain Bikes (and was intrigued by my Trek) and now is building windows that shade themselves in the sun. They were thankful I took them riding. They passed along a few multi stage race tips from the Trans Rocky 2008. The worst part was Duhame dealing with Cathy bonking every second day and pacing. Really nice day riding with these two.

Until next time...
