Many Happy Returns

Back to the land of excuses and endless summer called California.

Nice group ride day in Ojai, (OH-hi) on what I call a fun trail bike.
Was bit shocker to go from -25 to plus 24'C and bust out a 3hr ride on big trail bike, but sure makes this girl so happy hearted!  I was having to much fun and I didn't have the chance to take many pictures on the way down passed avocado and cute little citrus groves.

Citrus Groves in OH-Hi. Pixie Tangerines.

Trek Ventura Demo Day in Ojai California with the Lush 29er.
Smiling preceded by falling asleep in my dinner face....work.
see the ocean?! you don't always get the scenic view of both mountains and beaches.  Nice touch.

a BIG day for this gal.  Had a super time with Matt Fienup my climbing guide from Earthworks Climbing School, together we tackled about 700ft of climbing (10 pitches).  Matt is the owner of such a fantastic little operation, such a pleasure and great climbing partner.

....and packs good snacks/lunch...gotta love climbing snacks :)

Crushed my first multi pitch climb (300ft) in San Ysidro Canyon in California, 5.10b (Trad). Many little transitions with lots of ambiguity and endurance to be navigated on the hardest 5.10b (WTF?!). The belay was not  true hanging, small ledge to lean back with my feet on little ledge.  Such a pleasure to have Matt as a climbing partner for the day.

Also, did my first mock lead climb, followed by my first REAL lead climb 5.7. called Ricky Don't Lose My Number.  Don't worry about the gear, there isn't any....free?!...fallin.

Nothing like practicing falling 12ft :0

The canyon is mostly sandstone and we climbed in the shade
(hence the warm clothing and socks...in cali?!).
