The Origins of Om nom nom nom nom

I guess this post has been inspired by a few thoughts, firstly cookies (I made some yummy ones yesterday), the up coming holidays bring very gluten-ish parties, and lastly being a gluten free athlete.   The GF cookies were Paleo, I like the best and seem to turn out good enough to fool even cookie monster.  I am often asked many questions about my diet. Someone asked the other day what the hardest thing about being gluten free?  I would have to say socializing.  It is a rare occasion, but I do really like sharing meals with similar types of people, because food in general is often very social and fun. As in most countries, food is an expression altruism, giving and sharing is part of daily activity.  I have so many stories of countless times I have attended horrifying dinner parties.  Not to mention all the comments. It is like medieval torture, especially when you are hungry.  Aside from the fact that I need to stick to a gluten free diet, I like everything. You get over all the comments and challenges that go along with living in a gluten world.  In particular, I think the gluten free diet fad is great, for people like myself.  More variety and people seem to be more aware especially when having to eat out for dinner.

My new favourite is the Luna Protein bars, but for some reason are not available in Canada.  I have to smuggle them across the boarder.  why?  I dunno.....

Me endurance racer, me not picky and me feel like eating my bicycle after really really long rides....so bring cookies next time (gluten free ones).
