Oh for the love of bikes...

Oh for the love of bikes....my face was freezing today on my ride, and if it was raining it would be coming down in snow! So with that in mind, I reeeally happy.  Mostly playing on my new bike these days and getting ready for the IceMan Cometh!

Next weekend is the IceMan Cometh in Traverse City.  The humbling awesomeness of this event is difficult to describe in words.  It would be best described as a road race in dirt.  The few things I remember about the IceMan are: being cold, ripping out of Kalkaska at a crazy rate of speed, continue full gas for 29 miles, passing thousands of people, having sand in my teeth, and a party to the wee hours...those are good memories no?

Last week I got a new bike (have been waiting oh so patiently).  Trek Cronus Pro.    It is freakishly surprising the types of terrain you can ride this bike.  Can't say I very graceful with the jumping over barriers yet, but it sure it faasssst and fun. My first cyclocross race will be after my last MTB race for 2012 (IceMan)....will see how that race all "plays" out.

Also attended Wild Betty's Clinic in Dufferin forrest!  what a lovely ride, much like the trails at home but with a few more rocks and roots.  Well done ladies!  Until next year!

Two Tumbs up, but the other one was holding the camera and my fingers don't bend.
