Say bye bye to your gazelle legs....

So the last couple of weeks have felt like running under water with buckets of rocks @Catalyst Fitness. Cross Fit has proven itself to be kicking my endurance ass.  I can't believe how much time it is taking for me to recovery from some of those workouts but it is getting better over time...I think :) ? 

Guess what? Effortless grace (like a gazelle) will not get your through tough times.  Long endurance rides are like Gazelles. It feels fast, lovely and effortless.  Well the problem with Gazelles is once you go down in the mud, the hyennas are all over ya.   A little Grit goes a long way, like a slow warthog .

Here is a brief list of what the gazelle had to endure the last few weeks:


skills power/squat snatch (this is a hard one catching and right shoulder wonky). 
then 12 snatches, right arm 12 snatches with the left arm
as many double unders as possible
3 rounds for max double unders.

back squats 5-5-3-3-3-3 (heavy)
Front squat

Cindy comes around here and there

powerclean 12x2 with fast weight
Then: 21-15-9
Overhead squats
Pushups

100 walking lunges. one sit up for every 5 sec required to complete.

Well, getting excited about ICE MAN! next weekend. Going to be an African stampede of 4,000 riders ....will see if my new warthog skills will help me hang on longer at the starting line.  Wish me luck!
